The real difference to the student is the last page (the output document), which shows not only the federal “net-price” calculation, but also provides an explanation of billed costs vs. living expense estimates, and adds in loan eligibility - to give the student a true estimate of out-of-pocket billed expenses, and a better picture of the affordability of your school.

Compatible with any website and easy to install, the SmarterNPC will remain "framed" by your site, giving the visual impression that the student user remains on the institution's website (institutional headers, footers, side-bars, etc). Plus the inside of your SmarterNPC frame can easily be customized to match your institution's fonts and color schemes. SmarterNPC not only has a more sophisticated output, it also has a more professional appearance for your prospective students and their families.
For your institution's IT staff.
The cloud-based technology used by SmarterNPC means that your IT staff will only need to install the interface to your website one time. After the initial links are created and widget is installed on your site, there is no need to re-install the interface for annual updates. Further, all data is securely backed-up at the SmarterNPC site, so loss of data is never a concern.
For your institution's financial aid staff.
Annual updates are simple and easy. Instead of downloading software and creating .html files, your Financial Aid staff can merely log-on to the web portal in the fourth quarter of the calendar year and input the new year's data. The system will automatically display the revised year's data to your site starting in January. Simple, easy, and with no worries about forgetting - because the SmarterNPC system starts sending reminder e-mails each year in October.
